RASCAL Bikes were officially launched in 2019 at the international cycle show: Eurobike. RASCAL bicycles immediately caught the attention of the the cycling world, journalists and the visiting public.
Synonymous with Quality
The RASCAL Bikes project was born from the founders' years of experience of supplying bikes to the children's bicycle market. Our distribution business supplies stores which serves 10,000 children every year. The experience was intrumental understanding what children really need and in developing children's bikes and components to match.
Founders Kuba Holec and Ondra Brunecký used this experience to create the ultimate range of children's bikes and the distinctive RASCAL brand. Inspiration came from wanting to provide their own children with bicycles they would love to ride and wold not want to put down. They had to be amazing in every way: handling, safety, components and how good they look.
Ondra, a former interior designer, combined his skillset with Kuba, an experienced cycle racer together with frame designer Jaroslav Juřica, to create the 'perfect bike'. Together they took care of the challenges of optimising geometry, searching for optimal production technologies and selecting suppliers that would provide high-quality, lightweight and size-appropriate components. The intensive development of the first RASCAL bike series took two years of dedication.
